History: In his town, board-game tournaments were held regularly, and he especially liked the games in which you could place things on the board in the midst of the game. He wasn't very good at though. One day someone at the next table over threw a tantrum because they lost and started throwing about random spells. The kinetics spell hit Yansa, but he was fortunate enough to survive the sudden acceleration in a random direction. after that he began playing these games merely against himself. One day, he accidentlly enchanted one of the pieces, and it ran over and began attacking the pieces on his side of the board, literally. After this he began showing off, enchanting his pieces to be really smart and then pretending to move them on his own, but he was soon discovered and so he was sent to the school

Name: Kilik Lyend

Appearance: Kilik has sharp, dark eyes, hidden behind a pair of simple glasses. His hair is a very light blonde, almost white. It's cut short, with longer bangs to cover his forehead and a long grown ponytail. His skin is dark so he always appears tanned. Below his uniform, his right arm and shoulder are covered with a silver substance, which peeks out of his uniform on the right side of his neck.
Gift: Kilik can control a sentient shape-shifting metal substance which is attached to his body. He normally this with his Rune magic.

Personal Belongings: None
History: Kilik comes from a nomadic tribe away from most civilazation. While they know of the outside world, and have experienced it, they still distance themselves and live on the land as shamans and druids. Kilik was raised like this for most of his life. One day, when he was sixteen, Kilik found an odd metal orb on the side of an old trading path. When he reached to pick it up, the seemingly solid orb liquified and lunged out onto Kilik's arm. It covered his entire arm and shoulder. After many attempts, Kilik could not get the thing off of him, so he gave up and went home.

His parents were very concerned, so his father took him to the nearest city for help. ALong the way, Kilik discovered that he could control the liquid metal, but it would refuse to let go of him. In the city, a previous student of the School for Gifted Individuals. He offered to take the boy to the school, and have the metal checked out. Kilik and his father agreed, and Kilik was taken to the SGI.

It was found out that Kilik's liquid metal was an ancient magical artifact that was no danger to it's user, but it is a sentient being and would stay with it's wielder until death. Kilik was pleased that he was safe, though distrubed that a 'living' thing was stuck to him. With the metal artifact, along with his natural ability for magic from his tribe, Kilik was offered an enrollment into the school. He returned home to check with his parents, and they both agreed to let Kilik enroll.

Since his enrollment, Kilik has taken an interest in runes. He has not given up his tribal ways, though they are secondary in his learning.


Personality: Kilik is friendly and nice, and tries to make as many friends as possible. He enjoys a lot of time by himself though. Often sarcastic.

History: Kalal has spent most of his life in the SGI. When he was 10, his parents could already see his gift for magic when he made was creating detailed dolls of people with fire. He was sent to the SGI, and just recently moved from the children's section of the school to being a full fledged student, even rooming him with other students.
Personality: He's intelligent, but still a child, and he acts like one. He is usually playing with magic most of the time.

personal belongings: none really, if he wants something, he goes and finds one.
History: his parent's didn't like to give him up, because he could always find what his mother lost. However, because they were suffering from financial crisis, then eventually gave in and here he was. He's been here for 8 years now.
personality: Smartass, and loves a good laugh. He's not good at telling jokes, however.

Appearance: He has the body of a swimmer, thin and lithe, and his hair is straight and shoulder length. The bangs hang down to his cheeks, and frame his face. He has brown eyes and smooth skin, and is on the more effeminate side of masculine, although he is most certainly male.
Gift: Time ebbs upon the beach of reality like ocean waves. Most people are unaware of this, he is. In other words: precognition. He can see into the future. He can constantly predict about a minute into the future with ease, although with concentration he can see further. Problem being that fate is not pre-determined. He can only see the PROBABLE future. Within a few minutes this is usually extremely accurate, but the further from the current point in time the higher the deviation becomes.
Gift Source: He's merely slightly evolved beyond normal humanity, and can see the future like a normal person can watch waves against a rockface.
Personal Belongings: Just some cash.
History: He could see the future for as long as he can remember, and as a result was always seen as 'creepy' by the people around him due to his not knowing any better than to speak of the future as a child, and often bigger kids attempted to hurt him. However, when someone sees your punch coming two minutes before you even know you're going to throw it, it's extremely hard to hurt them. Instead of becoming withdrawn and irritable due to this, he merely became cold and arrogant. Well on his way to becoming a 'bad person'. The school intervened when news of the 'dark oracle' reached them when he was about sixteen. At the time he had begun to delight in telling people bad news about the future, or telling them exactly what they're thinking of doing. People had begun blaming him for diseases he predicted, and his cold demeanor didn't help. He and his parents agreed to the schooling because he was lonely, and hoped he could find some people who would be interesting to him and didn't try to hurt him. His parents agreed because of his blessings, to protect him, because they were partially afraid of him as well, and for money.
Personality: In one word: Arrogant. He can see the future. He knows how to react to things. He rarely loses or gets into a situation that will turn out poorly for him. He's also bored a lot of the time. He knows what will happen before it happens, and can toy with the future, but there's little point in it for him. Discussion is equally boring. When someone strikes up a conversation he knows what they're going to say and do. Occassionally he'll chuckle at a joke before it's told.

History: Tanar is the son of a bard and a bar maid, who started their own tavern. He was raised with instruments, and learned to play many of them. His father had Tanar work in the bar as a child, mostly as an entertainment with music. One day when Tanar was a child, he was playing a flure outsied of his home. A wandering musisian's spirit enjoyed the music, and possessed his flute. After scaring the kid, the spirit befriended him and promised that he would improve Tanar's music. The spirit knew a lot more about music then Tnar's father, and greatly improved the boy's skills. He also taught him how to use musical magic. The spirit still had one more gift to give Tanar, and that was a special abiility that would only work with him. While the spirit is inside one of Tanar's intruments, if Tanar plays certain melodies, he can control people's movements. Tanar tried it out at the bar, and everyone was forced to dance. In the dancing group was teacher from the SGI. After some confrences, he convinced Tanar's parents to send Tanar to the SGI. Now he mostly improves his music magic, takes history lessons (To tell stories), and plays his intrument. He also trains with a sword, since the school encourages a well-rounded fighting ability.
Personality: He's friendly, enjoys telling stories and playing his intruments.
Job: Plays in the commons with an open bag for tips, and does the same with stories.

History: Serek has always exceled in life. He was always able to do anything his friends could. Through watching battles in the arena inside his home city, Serek learned many fighting moves and spells. He always considered himself special because of this. When a group of teachers annouced they were looking for gifted individuals in Serek's home city, he went to the teachers. He explained his ability to copy anything he sees, and the teachers tested them. They did several holds, moves, and spells on eachother, letting Serek watch. Afterwords, he repeated everything they did exactly. Serek was soon sent to the school. He usually drops in and out of classes, since there is no real benefit for him to stay in one class for a long time. His only regular classes are fitness classes, physical and magical, since he can't copy that through observation.
